This week’s find is My Dark Fate and their new single,a striking interpretation of the Rolling Stones classic
“Paint It Black.”
The Austria-based metal band delivers haunting melodies and dark atmospheric rock. Twin vocal lines
give the band a distinctive edge: aggressive growls from guitarist Stefan Geir balanced with melodic
clean hooks from bassist Marina Su.
The result is a version of “Paint It Black” that grips from the opening notes and maintains an
intense cinematic mood throughout.
